Seven Reads is a reading app for iPhone and the web. You read EPUBs, PDFs and saved web pages inside it, and an AI companion reads along with you — you can ask it anything about the book by typing or by voice, and it answers using only the pages you've already read, so it never spoils what's ahead. It also keeps your highlights and notes, builds a whole-book overview, and tracks your reading activity and streaks.
How does the AI avoid spoilers?
Seven Reads tracks your exact position in the book, and every answer is built only from the text before that point. Content past your position is structurally excluded from what the AI can see — it isn't just asked to be careful, it cannot retrieve pages you haven't reached.
Which book formats does Seven Reads support?
EPUB and PDF files, plus any web page you save by URL. Scanned PDFs open and read normally as pages, though the AI can only discuss books with a text layer.
What books are included with Seven Reads?
The built-in store has a curated shelf of 250 classics with real cover art, plus search across more than 50,000 English-language public-domain books from Project Gutenberg — philosophy, science, history, poetry, myth and fiction. One tap adds any of them to your library. You can also upload your own EPUBs and PDFs.
Can I talk to Seven Reads with my voice?
Yes. Voice mode holds a live spoken conversation about the book you're reading, with the same no-spoilers guarantee as typed chat. Voice and text share one conversation thread, so nothing is lost switching between them.
Are my notes and highlights private?
Yes. The social feed shows only what people are reading and how far along they are — never anyone's notes, highlights or questions. Your thinking stays yours.
Can I use Seven Reads on my computer as well as my iPhone?
Yes. The same account works in any modern browser at the full experience — reader, AI chat, voice, notes and activity — and your reading position, highlights and conversations stay in sync between your phone and your computer.
